Jonathan Nixon
Producer/Director/D.P.
A graduate of the renowned S.T.A.R. School of Art, in Sydney, Australia, Nixon started his career shooting commercials in Miami and Orlando, Florida.
In 1988 he formed Point Of View Films, Inc. where he produced and directed national television commercial projects for Disney World, Budweiser, Eckerd Drugs, CineMax, America On Line, Motorola, Bacardi, Colgate, and The New York City Visitor’s Bureau.
As a Director Of Photography, his feature film credits include: Baby Geniuses 2 for Columbia Pictures, Red Serpent for Tri Coast Studios, and The Order, Derailed, and Prozac Nation for Millennium Films. Nixon has also filled the roles of Director/DP on a number of independent features and short films.
Mr. Nixon moved into episodic television with The Worlds Most Dangerous Jobs for CBS, and Americas Most Wanted, and Courage for FOX.
Nixon was then called on by MTV for Taildaters and Burned, as well as several network pilot projects.
Jon also served as Co-Executive Producer for the Style Network series Pulled Over.
Nixon teaches Directing and Cinematography classes for UCLA Film School, and Valencia Community College Film Program. He is also a faculty member for the International Film School Camps with The Young Filmmakers Academy based in Los Angeles, CA.
